The Bondo Table Reveal

My last post was about how I fixed a missing piece of trim off of an old pie crust table using Bondo Auto Body Filler.  Today I want to show you the results after it got a little paint.

I used General Finishes Milk Paint in Linen and added a few stencils around the top.  I'm not a huge fan of stenciling furniture, but this top definitely needed a little dressing up.  I waxed it using MMS White Wax and it gave it a gorgeous sheen with a slight whitewash look.

Not the greatest photos...I'm currently at the mercy of natural lighting and I don't think
the sun is ever coming back!

Here is a closer view of the repair.  Sure, it's not perfect, but since it's going to be used in my own home, I am very happy with it.

I love those legs!

The honey oak floors...not so much....

I want to share with you how it looks back up in the guest bedroom, but it started a domino effect and I began moving things around - so that will be another post in the near future.

As far as the repair, Dean was very impressed with me and suggested that I go into the auto body repair business.  Yeah...probably not.  I'll stick with furniture for now. :)

'til next time!
